John D. Weitlich, M.D

Specialties:

Orthopedic Trauma, Fracture Care, Foot and Ankle Surgery

Dr. John D. Weitlich, M.D., is a board eligible orthopedic surgeon specializing in orthopedic trauma, fracture care, foot and ankle surgery. Dr. Weitlich is passionate about helping each of his patients to get back to the activities they love and embrace a healthy lifestyle.
After finishing an undergraduate degree at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas, where he majored in biology while playing football and running track, Dr. Weitlich went on to the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He then completed his orthopedic residency at the University of Missouri.

Dr. Weitlich’s dedication to orthopedic surgery began when he was working as a certified nursing assistant while completing college. While shadowing Dr. Brett Miller, he quickly realized his college career would be followed by medical school to pursue becoming an orthopedic surgeon.
When Dr. Weitlich isn’t helping patients at OSMC, you’re likely to find him outdoors and playing sports, preferably beating Dr. Miller at a round of golf. He also enjoys playing the guitar and spending time with family. He particularly looks forward to any opportunity to spend time with his niece and four nephews.
