He provides both surgical and nonoperative care for a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, with expertise in arthroscopic procedures, ligament repair, and joint preservation techniques. He sees patients at the Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Center offices in St. Joseph and Platte City, Missouri.
Dr. Busch earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Truman State University before completing a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He then completed his orthopedic surgery residency through the KCU-GME Consortium at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Following residency, Dr. Busch pursued advanced training in orthopedic sports medicine through a fellowship at the Orthopaedic Research of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia. During his fellowship, he served as a team physician for local high schools and provided medical care for Division I athletes at Old Dominion University.
Dr. Busch is committed to helping his patients regain function and return to the activities they love. His treatment philosophy emphasizes a balance between rehabilitation, conservative care, and surgical intervention when necessary. He continues to contribute to the advancement of the orthopedic field with several publications on anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction as well as lecturing at both local and national conferences.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Busch enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, as well as traveling, fishing, and cycling. He is actively involved in professional organizations and remains dedicated to mentoring and medical education.
